Head south for a day to breakfast at beautiful Lyme Regis before heading east to West Bay and Bridport. The next, head north to Glastonbury, before taking in Cheddar Gorge and the Quantock Hills. West to Exmoor or east to the shops of Yeovil or deeper into Dorset.

The Somerset Flats are a renowned area for cyclists from all over the country. With several SUSTRANS routes passing nearby and secure cycle storage provided, the Barn at Rapps Cottage is a great base to explore Somerset by bike.

Or, if you prefer to go by foot, there are many great walking routes in the area. We provide printouts that you can take with you should you wish.

If you want to explore a little further afield, there is enough to keep you busy for several stays at the Barn at Rapps Cottage. Exmoor, Dartmoor, Bath, Dunster, Wells, Exeter, the Jurassic Coast, Weymouth and Poole, Bristol. The list goes on, but all of this is within an hour of the Barn.
